Charter

Purpose - Mutual Protection and Sharing of Chantry resources. The chantry exists to provide members the freedom to work and explore their Arts and Sciences, protection from outside threats, and communities. Chantry resources will be administered by the leadership at a monthly meeting.

Chantry Property - All property of Apostles of Labor that is not claimed by a surviving member of Apostles of Labor is the property of the Chantry. Personal property is shared at the discretion of the member or associate. Members and Associates are under no obligation to share personal resources with other members.

Membership - A member of the Chantry may nominate anyone for membership. Those nominated are the responsibility of the nominator until their petition is approved. Nomination will be approved by the Chantry Leadership. Nominations can also be made by other recognized Chantries or Council magi. There are two levels of membership - Associates - apprentices, acolytes, consors. Associates are the responsibility of the sponsoring members, their actions reflect upon the member, the consequences of their behaviours belong to their sponsoring member. Associates do not have a vote. Members - Mages, sorcerers, and psychics in good standing. Members have a single vote.

Leadership - The Chantry will be led by a triumvirate with two chairs being reserved for the Traditions and one for the Disparates or Unaligned. If at any point in time there are no Disparate or Unaligned members in good standing, the chair shall be temporarily filled until such a point there are at least two (2) Disparate/Unaligned members. The leadership shall hold a meeting open to members at least once a quarter with a minimum of 6 meetings per year. Only chantry leadership can motion for a vote. A motion for a vote can only be called if there is a quorum of 1/2 + 1 (at least 1 more than half the membership) chantry members. The leadership are responsible for the stewardship of chantry resources. The leadership will serve a term of One (1) year and must be nominated by another member. Leadership may be removed from their position with a vote of no confidence. This requires a minimum of two thirds (2/3) vote of all chantry members in order to remove the member. The motion to remove the member may be brought up at any chantry meeting where quorum has been met. Disagreements, Crime, and Punishment - Crimes will be divided into Low Crimes and High Crimes receiving a commensurate punishment. Low crimes cover social infractions and acts of petty theft, assault, or damage. High crimes cover serious offense such as murder, sexual abuse or violation, Infernalism, Oath Breaking, betrayal of chantry members or the chantry, and major cruelty, theft, or property destruction. A trial will be held with the chantry leaders presiding. The accused may request another chantry member to represent them. If a disagreement can not be resolved between two members, Certamen, can be used to resolve the dispute. The terms of the duel will be decided beforehand including stakes and concessions.

Ammendments - Subsequent ammendments, additions, and changes to this charter can be made but require a two thirds (2/3) majority agreement of chantry members. Any changes proposed to the charter must be presented with a member presenting in support and one against.

1st Amendment: Votes may be proposed by the Triumvirate at any Chantry meeting with at least half of members present, instead of half plus one. Voting on an item may be completed by proxy. If enough votes to pass an item cannot be obtained during a meeting, the item will be posted so that those not present can weigh in. Anyone who does not vote within 10 days of the item being posted will not count toward the voting membership total for that item.

2nd Amendment: If a member of the Triumvirate is unable to complete their duties for a two month period, as determined by the other two members, the Chantry shall vote on a Triumvirate member pro tem to attend to their duties until such time as they return to a regularly scheduled Chantry meeting and announce they are resuming their duties OR until such time as a new election cycle begins.

Resolution 1: The Chantry of Imnizaska Sanctuary works to fulfill the 7th protocol by focusing on larger threats to the Sleepers as a whole. We stand against the Union, the Outer Lords, and other existential threats to humanity. As we strive for this ideal, we will also work to keep harm, to the Sleeper Community, to a minimum.

Resolution 2: The Imnizaska Sanctuary Chantry agrees to protect the node and the sacred nature of it as a place of cultural importance to the Lakota. With the agreement met, the Lakota will provide their Blessing to speak with the Star People in order to learn of the node's location and acquire it for the Chantry.
