With some exceptions, the fae of the Kingdom of Grass hold conservative values and consider themselves a solid, sensible, and dependable people. The Duchy of Goldenrod is no exception. Katiya Rasputina ni Leanhaun rules from her seat of power in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The System is Working

The Feudal Monarchy in The Kingdom of Grass is well established. Commoners largely understand and accept their place. The Sidhe strive to emulate Katiya's vision by ruling responsibly and taking value in their people's happiness. The Duchess is a benevolent leader who shows unrelenting determination when it comes to protecting her people and the dream. While the Duchy is not in active turmoil, it is known the clock ticks on Katiya's rule as the Childling Countess, Astarte ni Gwydion is heir to the Duchy per the decree of Queen Morgance ni Dougal. Due to this uncertain future, there is a cold reception to revolutionaries. Medieval values are well entrenched.

Cold Remembrance

The Unseelie of Goldenrod remember a time when Minnesota was part of the Kingdom of Northern Ice. Queen Laurel's imminent wedding to Duke Roccoco of the Shadow Court has stirred up a lot of dreams in the darker fae. These dreams of Northern Ice rule has slowly faded away at the rise of Katiya after her marriage to Daniel McCrae, and the subsequent victory against the Shadow's incursion into Kingdom of Grass. But with that victory came a bitter price as land changed hands. Will the deal struck by Queen Morgance and Queen Laurel hold? Will the desire of Northern Ice for the glade be mollified by a recent land shift? Time will tell. Tick. Tock.
