He joined the Marine Corps after high school, just in time to be a part of Operation Enduring Freedom, otherwise known as the War in Afghanistan. He came home after several tours as a wounded veteran with a Purple Heart award. He says he owes his recovery to a renewed faith in the Old Ways, and a physical therapist who knocked sense into him. After that, he went back to school, gained a certification as a fitness trainer and opened his own gym to serve the youth of the community. He'll say that there is no such thing as a former, or ex-Marine. Just one no longer on active duty. Discipline - The ability to show your courage, your loyalty, your sense of self-reliance, in the face of personal challenges. Hospitality - Treat others with respect. Guests must be granted your protection while under your roof. Industriousness - Work hard at everything you do. Self-Reliance - The virtue taking care of oneself, while still maintaining relationships with Deity. Perseverance - Continue pushing onward, despite potential obstacles.
